Moisturising twice a day can keep dryness away

As far as the skin is concerned, dryness is one of the last things which anyone wants to find themselves faced with. If you’re not moisturising properly though, dryness could all too easily become a harsh reality.

Moisturising twice a day is essential when it comes to keeping dryness away, and if you’ve heard this a million times, it’s only because it’s the truth.

Even if you’re in the same boat as others and lead a really busy life, this isn’t much of an excuse for neglecting to moisturise, as most of the moisturisers which are out there today are quick to apply and quick to soak into the skin.

In order to keep dryness at bay and enjoy as many skin benefits as possible though, it’s vital to use a moisturiser which has been designed for use on your skin type.

Finding a moisturiser which perfectly suits your skin shouldn’t prove problematic though, as Dermalogica has many amazing moisturisers.

If you’re not 100% sure what your skin type is, it’s a very good idea to find out before investing, otherwise you could find yourself feeling a little disappointed or, even worse, find that you’ve succumbed to that dreaded dryness.

Choosing a cleanser which ticks every box

Cleansing is, without a doubt, one of the most important parts of any skin care regime, as without proper cleansing, you could find yourself facing very blocked pores and regular break outs.

It isn’t just the teenage population which needs to ensure that skin is kept as clean as possible, as even those who left their teenage years behind a very long time ago need to make sure that skin is being treated to proper cleansing morning and night.

There are now more cleansers on the market than ever, and whilst this might initially make it look as though choosing the right product will be very difficult, by considering a few things it needn’t be at all.

When it comes to choosing a cleanser which ticks every box, it’s really important to keep your skin type in mind. Choosing or using a cleanser which hasn’t been designed for use on your skin type could leave it feeling very dry and tight, overly oily or more prone to blemishes. So choose wisely.

Cleansers come in different formulations too- from gels to scrubs- so think about your preference here too.

Whatever your needs may be, you can choose a product which ticks every box by choosing a Dermalogica Cleanser.

Check that you’re doing your skin justice

Every single individual out there needs to make sure that they’re doing their skin justice and following a good skin care regime, as a little neglect now could lead to big regrets later.

Many years ago, looking after the skin in order to ensure that it looked its best may have had to involve an absolute age in front of the mirror, applying product after product. This isn’t the case any more though, as most basic skin care products couldn’t be any quicker or easier to use.

There are a few skin care basics which practically everyone should follow- here are a few things which it’s well worth thinking about if you want to check that you’re doing your skin justice…

- Are you cleansing, toning and moisturising?
- Are you cleansing, toning and moisturising twice a day?
- Are you aware of your skin type?
- Have you checked that the products which you’re using are suitable for your skin type?
- Does your skin need any extra help (i.e. with banishing excess oil, dryness or break outs)?

These are just a small handful of things which you should think about, and you can also check that you’re doing your skin justice by checking that you’re using Dermalogica Skincare products.

Removing eye makeup without damaging the skin

If you’re something of an eye makeup fanatic, you’re in very good company, as there are many women out there who just can’t go a day without a slick of mascara or a touch of eyeliner.

One of the great things about modern eye makeup is that many products have really long lasting formulations- which means less touch ups throughout the course of a day.

Whilst it’s great that eye makeup can now last for longer than ever, what often isn’t so great is the eye makeup removal process- which can be very tricky when only a standard cleanser is being used.

When you’re struggling to shift eye makeup straight away, it can be really tempting to get a little heavy handed and start scrubbing away. This is a major no-no though, as the skin around the eyes is very delicate and it can be really easy to damage it.

Instead, you need to invest in an effective eye makeup remover such as Dermalogica Soothing Eye Make Up Remover- which is tough when it comes to removing makeup but really kind to the skin.
