We are very pleased that both Royal Mail and the CWU have come to an arrangement where the current strikes scheduled for Friday 06/11/2009 and Monday 09/11/2009 have been called off. Furthermore they have agreed a ‘period of calm’ through to the end of the year to allow for negotiations to continue to come to a final settlement.

We would like to congratulate both Royal Mail and the CWU on reaching this sensible agreement and urge them to reach a permanent settlement as soon as possible.
