Unauthorised Selling of Dermalogica by Boots
Dermalogica have notified us that Boots are selling some Dermalogica products on their website and in some of their stores. Dermalogica are very keen to make clear that, although Boots have approached them several times, that Dermalogica do not supply to Boots and never will.
It is very important to us that our customers know that these products, along with others sold on sites such as Ebay and Amazon, are sold without authorisation and without the reliable backup, support and advice you receive from authorised retailers such as Pure Beauty Online.
Dermalogica are currently trying to find out in which Boots stores across the country Dermalogica products are being sold and we are eager to help them with this. If you know of any Boots stores where you have seen Dermalogica for sale please email us at shop@pure-beauty.co.uk and we will pass the information onto Dermalogica.
Remember that Boots are retailers – not Skincare Specialists.

Interesting that you say that dermalogica will never supply to Boots. I’ve just been living in Abu Dhabi in the UAE where I purchased Dermalogica in the Boots store in Al Whada Mall.

Thanks for your comments. Due to the complicated way that Dermalogica is sold around the world, most countries have a single distributor with sole rights in that country. Dermalogica is a skincare brand that should be prescribed for you by a fully qualified Beauty Therapist who is fully trained in the Dermalogica products and salon treatments. This is why they would never supply to Boots in the UK: they are retailers with no experience of the products, they do not have any treatment rooms and they do not have any training. Due to the fact that this Boots store is not in the UK we would think that this is how they get around the territorial agreements.

I KNOW FOR A FACT DERMALOGICA LOOK AT EBAY AND AMAZON ACCOUNTS EVERY WEEK AND SEND LETTERS TO THE SELLER THREATNING THEY WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION.
DERMALOGICA THEMSELVES EARN A FORTUNE.

Debbie you may well be Dermalogica trained but we would imagine that there are the majority of employees who are not. You will also know that the products are prescribed not ‘off the shelf’. Some of them contain very strong ingredients and there could be serious harm or damage done to people who simply do not know which products are suitable.
We are also a small salon based in Lichfield and we managed to pay for the opening order and that includes all of the Professional Range of products which I really hope Boots aren’t selling or they may find themselves in trouble if their customer’s end up buying professional strength products and using them incorrectly.
We understand your argument but disagree strongly. Dermalogica UK have the sole rights to sell and distribute the products in the UK and Ireland, they are a salon only brand and we want them to keep it that way. Everything else is so ubiquitous these days that it’s good that there are some products that the large corporations and multiples can’t get their hands on and spoil.
